You can enjoy the best view in town at the Pensacola Lighthouse and Museum! Just 177 steps to climb up the historic Pensacola Lighthouse, built in 1859, and you’ll be treated with one of the most beautiful views on the Gulf Coast. The lighthouse is located on board NAS Pensacola and from the top of tower you’ll see stunning views of Pensacola Pass, three historic forts, the Pensacola skyline, and the historic Navy Yard. There is also a museum and a gift shop located in the fully restored Keepers’ Quarters that was originally built in 1869.
Daily admission for adults is $6 and $4 for children, seniors and active duty military and the hours of operation are from 10 am to 5:30 pm daily. Keep in mind that children must be at least 44 inches in height to climb the lighthouse tower and that flip-flops (and other backless sandals) cannot be worn to climb the tower.
